Project Runway Season 13, Ep. 2 - Unconventional Movie Nite
Yay, for unconventional materials!
Boo, hiss for teams.
There’s a lot more after the cut.

we’ll have to see. and red robin, OMG. i can’t believe tim is promoting refrigerator products now. what in the world…
You were probably better off not watching Road to the Runway. I watched it and the first ep back-to-back and was completely lost in a sea of designers.
I know, poor Tim, he deserves so much better. I am petrified about the inevitable Red Robin challenge, I may have to watch most of it through splayed fingers.

orla, we can be PR buddies again!! it’s been too long! p.s. my recap just went up, so check it out.. :) *nudge*
Hey, Katherine! Yay to PR buddies. Your recap wasn’t up when I posted mine so TY for the nudge! I did read it, and you thought things through a lot more than I did. Awesome recap, shall reblog.
See, I loved Sandhya’s stuff in Road to the Runway, and that amazing dress she showed in the culling stage (I can’t think of another word for the triple axing extravanagaza) but I just could not relate at all to what she sent down the runway. She took a heck of a risk from the off, and I’m glad it paid off for her even if I didn’t like it. Korina needs to lay off her. Samantha needs to lay off Angela, Mitchell needs to calm down.
My main worry this season is that, from the preview it all looks to be more about staged drama (brought to you by Red Robin and the word “vagina”) than about the clothes. Which, meh. I hope there are some amazing garments in there too, because I’m here for that more than anything else.
Eyes on Char and Sandhya, Mitchell? Your outfit was basic. #ByeFelicia.
Aliceshortcake and the Green Shore Conundrum
Recently the Absolute Write Bewares, Recommendations & Background Check board has played host to an investigation into a dodgy-seeming “publisher” that popped up on the internet offering a portfolio of (expensive) services to authors in the UK and Irish markets.
Over a couple of weeks, the intrepid aliceshortcake (who started the thread with a very…
In light of this article, which was in response to this post, I feel the time has come for me to issue a public apology to Dashcon for the extra room charges I incurred during my infamous stay at the Renaissance Schaumburg.
The Baker Street Babes were honored to be invited to the con as…
I would like to issue a public apology to my computer monitor for the amount of coffee gigglesplurted over it as I read this.
Yes, I know I haven’t posted in a while (bad blogger, bad), but that’s because I’ve been
playing video gamesactually writing for a change.
I’ve hit a bit of a wall with my novel, so I’ve been futzing about with some short stuff in order to keep writing regularly. Messing about with different genres and styles and having a go at some flash fiction. I have also (gulp) started submitting pieces to…
Interviewer: Would you like to play a clone on the show?
Ari Millen: Probably not. I think…I think it’s probably too much work.
I see what you did there.
I was meandering through my external hard drive earlier this week, and came upon a story I wrote for a magazine a friend’s boyfriend-at-the-time was setting up. There was only one issue published and this story was in it. I’ve always had a weird affection for this story, but I never bothered submitting it anywhere else, and since I retained copyright (haha, posh me!), I figured I might as well…
